Hello, I'm Emmalene Oysti, a Fine Artist and Illustrator from Marquette, Michigan located in the Upper Peninsula along the shores of Lake Superior. I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Northern Michigan University. As an avid reader I have an interest in book illustration, but have also found that some of my favorite projects to be custom portraits. I prefer working with traditional media such as watercolors, acrylic inks, gouache, markers, & colored pencils. My work often utilizes layers of mixed media to create a variety of textures, vibrant colors, and qualities of realism.
